MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013326 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 23, 2024, for 'automated plastering device for inclined surfaces.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated plastering device for inclined surfaces, comprises of an elongated frame 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, the frame 1 is installed with an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 for capturing multiple images in vicinity of the surface, a touch interactive display screen 3 arranged on the frame 1 for is selecting an area of the surface over which plastering is to be done, a gyroscope sensor is integrated underneath the frame 1 for monitoring inclination angle of the surface, a body 4 arranged at ends of the frame 1 and integrated with telescopically rods 5 to extend/retract for orienting the bodies 4 at an optimum height from the surface in a parallel alignment, an extendable panel 6 is arranged within the frame 1 to extend/retract for alignment the panel 6 parallel to the user-selected surface."
