MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531011922 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 12, for 'automated plantation device for planters.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Omprakash Das.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated plantation device for planters device, comprises of a cuboidal body 101 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, plurality of motorized wheels 110 to provide movement to body 101, a display panel 102 accessed by to input command regarding implantation of a plant, a motorized gate to allow a user to insert a planter in body 101, an imaging unit 103 to detect placement of planter in body 101, a multi-sectioned chamber 104, each section is detected towards storage of soil and different types of pesticides, a motorized stirrer to mix soil and pesticides, a secondary iris lid to dispense mixture in planter, a receptacle 108 to store multiple plants, a robotic gripper to grip one of plant and position in a hollow cylindrical member, a tertiary iris lid to release plant planter, a robotic arm 109 to press mixture in planter, via a trowel."
