MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010381 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'automated plant management device.'

Inventor(s) include Anshul Goel; Dr. Ishpreet Singh; and Rajeev Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated plant management device, comprising two C-shaped frames 1 positioned over ground surface and omnidirectional wheels 3 provides movement, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 determines presence of plants in surroundings, a touch interactive display panel 5 accessed by user to select group of plant to be supported, a motorized hinge joint 11 rotates frames 1 to accommodate user-selected plants, an anemometer detects wind speed, a sliding unit 6 deploys a sheet 8 around plants for collecting fruits, a weight sensor monitors weight of collected fruits, multiple iris apertures 9 transfer fruits within a chamber 10, a hinge joint 11 provides movement to links 7 to make a shield around plants, a computing unit accessed by user for monitoring condition of plants and if any abnormality is detected then, a notification is sent to computing unit."
