MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004053 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 19, 2024, for 'automated pipeline alignment system.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A automated pipeline alignment system, comprises of plurality of platforms 1 positioned on a ground surface, a computing unit accessed by a user to input commands for aligning pipelines placed on the ground surface, a camera 2 to detect exact location of the pipelines, multiple wheels 3 to maneuver to platforms 1 and position in proximity to the pipelines, a pair of motorized clamps 4 to grip and position the pipelines on platforms 1, an elongated member 6 hinged over a hydraulic bar 7 to remove obstacle from path when any obstacle is detected via an ultrasonic sensor, a primary set of motorized rollers 8 to translate the pipelines and align with each other and a secondary set of motorized rollers 9 to translate the pipelines in sideways direction for adjoining of the pipelines to allow the user to collect the pipelines."
