MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018179 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 13, 2024, for 'automated pipe wrapping device.'
Inventor(s) include Vineet Saxena.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated pipe wrapping device, comprising a housing 1 positioned over a ground surface, an imaging unit 2 installed on the housing 1 determines presence of pipe, a display panel 3 installed over the housing 1 enabling user input commands, a pair of cylindrical shafts 4 are installed over the housing 1, a circular motorized sliding unit 5 installed over the housing 1 and configured with a pair of telescopic clamps 6 to insert free end of the pipe that is gripped by the clamps 6 and passing the pipe through a pair of plates 7 configured with the housing 1, a speaker 8 installed over the housing 1 for notifying the user and a water reservoir 9 arranged over the housing 1 to dispense water over the pipe in view of cleaning the pipe."
