MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019662 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 16, 2024, for 'automated pipe straightening device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Neeraj Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated pipe straightening device comprises a housing 1 developed to be placed on ground surface having multiple omnidirectional wheels 2 for enabling the user to maneuver the housing 1, a touch-enabled screen 3 for enabling the user to give input commands, a motorized iris lid 4 to enable the user for inserting a pipe, a set of primary motorized rollers 5 and a set of telescopically operated bars 6 for translating the pipe towards second portion of the housing 1, a camera 7 for capturing real-time images of the pipe, a capacitive sensor for detecting the material of the pipe, a set of secondary motorized rollers 8 integrated with a set of telescopically operated rods 9 for straighten and transferring the pipe out of the housing 1, and a welding unit 10 integrated into a robotic arm 11 for welding the cracks on the pipe."
