MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023584 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'automated pipe manufacturing device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Satendra Singh; and Aishwary Awasthi.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated pipe manufacturing device, comprising a housing 1 positioned over a fixed surface and crafted with an opening 2 accessed by a user to insert a metallic sheet within housing 1, a touch interactive display panel 3 to enable a user to input diameter in which the sheet is to be rolled to produce a pipe, an imaging unit 4 determines dimension of sheet, a primary robotic gripper 5 to grip sheet and position in proximity to an edge bending, a pair of motorized rollers 7 to rotate in opposite direction to apply appropriate amount of pressure over sheet for rolling sheet, an expandable rod 8 with plurality of motorized expandable pulley arrangement to expand rod in user-specified diameter, a secondary robotic gripper 9 to grip rolled sheet and an inverted L-shaped hydraulic bar 10 to extend and position a rotatable motorized ball 11 configured with bar."
