MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026621 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 30, 2024, for 'automated pipe lifting device.'

Inventor(s) include Vijay Maheshwari; R. P. Aggarwal; Arun Kumar Giri; and Neha Rani.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 24, under issue no. 43/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated pipe lifting device, comprising pair of cuboidal bodies 1 positioned over a ground surface, telescopic link 3 to regulate intermediate distance between bodies 1, AI based imaging unit 4 to determine positioning of the pipe over the surface motorized omnidirectional wheels 2 to position the bodies 1 in proximity to end of the pipe, motorized linear actuator 5 to position C-shaped plates 6 in proximity to the pipe, motorized hinge joints 7 to regulate shape of the plates 6, telescopic rod 8 to accommodate pipe within the plates 6, motorized ball and socket joint 10 to accommodate the pipe within the plates 6, motorized pop out balls 11 to provide translation to the plate over the pipe, telescopic link 3 to accommodate the pipe and a microphone 12 to receive voice commands of a user regarding height at which the pipe is to be lifted."
