MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019327 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'automated pipe joining device.'

Inventor(s) include Aishwary Awasthi.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an automated pipe joining device, comprising a platform 1 integrated with multiple telescopic rods 2 that provides support to platform 1 on a ground surface, two sets of inverted L-shaped horizontal bars 4 attached on platform 1 for providing support to two pairs of C-shaped clamping members 5 attached on bars 4 accessed by user for placing a pair of pipes into members 5, an ultrasonic sensor installed on platform 1 for detecting pipes diameter, a tactile sensor installed on platform 1 for detecting pipes hardness, a second motorized hinge joint attached on platform 1 for positioning a heating unit 11 attached with second joint between pipes, and a temperature sensor installed on platform 1 for detecting temperature of heating unit 11."
