According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated pipe flange aligning device, comprising an elongated body 1 having accessed by a user for gripping the body 1, an imaging unit 2 installed over the body 1 to determines position of connecting flanges, a pair of semicircular extendable plates 3 installed with the body 1 for gripping pipe of correct alignment, a motorized scissor arrangement 4 configured with a flap 5 installed with the body 1 for displacing the misaligned flange in an appropriate alignment, an inverted L-shaped telescopic pusher 7 installed with a disc 6 configured with the body 1 for inserting bolts within the holes, a motorized wrench 8 installed on a robotic link for fastening nuts with bolts."
