MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511105059 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Oct. 30, 2025, for 'automated pipe fittings testing device.'

Inventor(s) include Jitendra Kumar Katariya.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated pipe fittings testing device, comprises of a platform 101 configured with plurality of suction cups 102 to be securely positioned over a ground surface, a pair of U-shape structure 103 is positioned on a testing chamber 104 stored with water to accommodate a pipe fitting, an imaging unit 105 for capturing and processing images, a touch interactive display unit 106 to alert user, a motorized circular slider 107 configured with one inlet testing conduit 108 and three outlet testing conduit 109, a robotic arm 110 to extend towards conduits, a motorized water pump 111 to supply water into pipe, a pressure sensor 112 to continuously monitor internal pressure levels within pipe fitting during testing and a flow sensor 113 to monitor a volume and rate of water exiting from pipe fitting, to identify any deviation that suggest internal obstruction, incomplete fitting or leakage within pipe fitting."
