MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025447 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'automated pipe clamp manufacturing device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated pipe clamp manufacturing device comprises a housing 1 positioned on a ground surface and arranged with a chamber 10 stored with multiple metallic sheets held within the chamber 10 via a pair of pneumatic pins 11, a touch enabled screen 5 to give input commands regarding dimensions of a pipe clamp to be manufactured, a conveyer 6 for translating and positioning the sheet on a platform 3 arranged in continuation to conveyer 6, a laser-based cutting unit 12 via a two-axis lead screw arrangement 14 for cutting a strip of the metal of required dimension, an imaging unit 2 for detecting cutting of the sheet in the strip, a robotic arm 13 equipped with a drilling unit 8 for drilling roles at the first and second portion of the clamp and a speaker 9 for notifying the user to collect pipe clamp from the housing 1."
