MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019313 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'automated pipe aligning device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Ashok Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated pipe aligning device includes an body 1 having a proximal and distal portion 2, 3, an imaging-unit 4 installed at portion 3 to determine position of connecting flanges amid two vertically/horizontally aligned pipes, a laser light 5 project a beam of light on pipe to aware user to tie strap 13 over pipe, an bar 6 extends for getting inserted into a hole of flange for griping pipe, an ultrasonic sensor monitors misalignment of flanges/pipes and length of misalignment accordingly pusher 7 arranged on portion 3 via a link 8 extend/retract for applying a pushing force on misaligned flange/pipe for displacing misaligned flange in an appropriate alignment, an arm 9 arranged on portion 3 grips a bolt from chamber 10 and engage on one of aligned holes of flange, a speaker 11 produces audio notification for user to tighten bolt with a nut to affix alignment."
