MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020051 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 18, 2024, for 'automated pcb repairing device.'
Inventor(s) include R. K. Jain; Dhruv Joshi; V. K. Tyagi; and Naveen.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated PCB repairing device, comprises of a rectangular frame 1 developed to be positioned horizontally on a table top, an imaging unit 2 for capturing and processing images of panel, a motorized dual-axis slider 3 integrated with a horizontal and vertical clamps 4 for holding PCB, a motorized screw driver 5 arranged by means of a telescopically operated L-shaped rod 6 for positioning screw driver 5 in proximity to screws mounted on PCB, a pair of tweezers 7 to unmounts multiple integrated circuit mapped on PCB to replace integrated circuits with a new one, a soldering tool 8 arranged by means of an extendible L-shaped link 9 for positioning tool 8 in proximity to PCB and the soldering tool 8 perform soldering over PCB by using a soldering wire integrated on tool 8, in case determined fault corresponds to fault in any component of PCB."
