MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511117027 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Nov. 25, 2025, for 'automated pasta preparation device.'

Inventor(s) include Vikas Rana.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated pasta preparation device comprising of a housing 101 with a hopper 102 for facilitating easy dough input, detachable outer walls 103 connected by electromagnetic clamps 104 for easy disassembly, an input device 105 for receiving input commands for preparing pastas of a user-desired shape, a pair of slidable plates 106 for transferring the dough from the hopper 102, a motorized iris operated aperture 108 opened/closed for releasing the dough, a flattening arrangement 109 for applying pressure to flatten the dough, and feed the dough towards a circular ring 110, a secondary roller 111 with multiple pneumatic pins 112 to create different pastas and shapes to form user-desired shaped pasta, a cutting module 113 for precise adjustment of pasta length, a chamber 114 for collecting the pasta, and a first weight sensor that tracks pasta production based on the dough quantity."
