MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020662 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19 for 'automated paper clip dispensing system.'
Inventor(s) include Naveen; Raj Kishore Singh; Abhishek Dabas; and Anshu Chaudhary.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated paper clip dispensing system, comprising an elongated body 1 having a first and second portion 2, 3, a handle 4 for enabling the user to position the body 1 in proximity to bundle, a rack 5 for storing multiple paper clip, an opening 6 for enabling the user to withdraw and refill the clips, an ultrasonic sensor for detecting distance between the second portion 3 and bundle, a pair of motorized clipping unit 7 for withdrawing one of the clips, a motorized rack 5 and pinion arrangement 8 for providing movement to clip, a microphone 9 for enabling the user to specify a serial number of the bundle, a display unit 10 for displaying the user specified serial, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 11 for determining covering of any text imprinted on the bundle, a speaker 12 for notifying the user to change positioning of the clip."
