MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511117069 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Nov. 25, 2025, for 'automated packaging carton shredding device.'

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated packaging carton shredding device comprises of a housing 101 configured with a plurality of omnidirectional wheels 102 enables locomotion on a ground surface, a speaker 103 provides audio alerts to insert a packaging carton board through, an inlet 104 carved on the housing 101, an inspection unit 105 detects both presence and thickness of sheet, a sheet straightening unit 107 via a motorized slider 107b which provides necessary translation for straightening, a U-shaped member 107a connected to slider 107b using an L-shaped telescopically operated rod 107c, which extends to position a pair of motorized rollers 107d for straightening through roller rotation, a sheet shredding unit 108 for converting the sheet into strips and an L-shaped extendable member 108a equipped with a plurality of motorized shredding wheels, which extend or retract according to the sheet's thickness to position the wheels and rotate them for shredding."
