MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006925 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 1, 2024, for 'automated packaging assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Mandeep Kaur; Dr. Shweta Lamba; and Dr. Parveen Singla.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated packaging assistive device, comprising a frame 1 arranged with a display screen 2 for enabling user's input commands, an imaging unit 3 installed on the frame 1 for determining dimension of a bag, a panel 4 arranged in the frame 1 integrated with plurality of clamping units 5 to suspend the bag at center of the panel 4, a body 6 arranged in the frame 1, adjacent to the panel 4 and mounted with a curved-shape member 7 for accommodating commodity and a motorized crank and shaft arrangement 8 installed in between the body 6 and member 7 for transferring the accommodated commodity into the suspended bag."
