MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007251 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 2, 2024, for 'automated object lifting assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Hari Krishna Moorthy.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated object lifting assistive device comprises of an extendable horizontal bar 1 developed to be placed by a user over a shoulder portion, a display panel 2 accessed for providing input, a pair of vertical telescopic rods 3 for extending to position a motorized roller 4 in proximity to an object placed on a ground surface to unwrap a cable 6 wrapped over roller 4 to translate a hook 5 engaged by the user with object, an imaging for capturing and multiple images of object, a weight sensor for detecting weight of object, an inertia measurement sensor for detecting moment of inertia of bar 1 due to weight distribution of object based on which bar 1 extends in a linear manner that results in shifting of center of bar 1 from its initial position thereby equalizing load of object over user's shoulder's portion and prevents user from unbalancing."
