MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341087318 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Dec. 20, 2023, for 'automated needle threading device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated needle threading device, comprising a L-shape platform 1 having a first and second portions 2, 3 positioned over a fixed surface, a touch enabled screen 4 is mounted over platform 1 that is accessed by a user for selecting thickness of needle and color of thread, multiple chambers 5 installed on platform 1 by means of two-axis lead screw arrangement 6 for storing different dimension of needles, a motorized door to open followed by actuation of a telescopic gripper 8 installed within chamber to grip and extend for inserting needle within member 7, a break beam sensor installed at second portion 3 of platform 1 for detecting alignment of hole with respect to a pair of pores 9 crafted over member 7 and a sliding arrangement 10 configured with a pneumatically operated pin 11 mapped at second portion 3 for translating pin 11 towards member 7."
