MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541123291 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 7, 2025, for 'automated natural language to sql conversion system using large language models.'

The user interface module receives natural language inputs through a web-based interface, while the large language model interface module processes inputs using a Mistral-SABA-24B model accessed through a Groq API to produce corresponding SQL statements. The system incorporates k-shot learning with database-specific examples to improve query generation accuracy and includes query sanitization capabilities to validate SQL statements before execution. The database execution module connects to MySQL databases and executes sanitized queries, with results displayed through interactive visualizations."
