MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531018736 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 3, for 'automated music playing device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Sidhartha Dash.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated music playing device comprising an elongated body 101 having a handle 102 for acquiring a grip by user, an annular structure 103 arranged at distal end and integrated with multiple vertical bars 104, a pair of metallic discs 105 by means of a sliding unit integrated with bars 104 to translate discs 105 towards each-other, a telescopically operated rod 106 is arranged at center of structure 103 for getting oriented over structure 103 and bars 104, an imaging unit 107 installed on structure 103 to determine positioning of said rod 106 with respect to discs 105, a pair of extendable bars 108 integrated with a bead 109 is mounted on rod 106 by means of a motorized pivot joint 110 to rotate synchronously with extension/retraction of bars 108."
