MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026145 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'automated moustache shaping device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Parveen Singla; Dr. Ruchi Singla; Dr. Dinesh Arora; Sonia Jindal; Ritwika Raj; Nandita; and Onkar.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated moustache shaping device, comprising a frame 1 having a plate 3 developed to be positioned on a neck portion of a user, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 determine structure of the user's neck portion, plurality of motorized hinge joints 4 to properly accommodate the frame 1 on the user's neck portion, an inverted L-shaped rod 10 position a rectangular platform 7 in proximity to facial portion of the user, a first robotic arm 5 attached with a sewing needle 11 and a second robotic arm 6 for gripping free end of a thread from a thread spool 8 and insert free-end of the thread within shank of the needle 11, and an electronic nozzle 9 to dispense an appropriate amount of the glue over the stitched portion."
