MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023466 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'automated metallic wire twisting device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated metallic wire twisting device, comprising a platform 1 installed with a plate 2 positioned on ground surface, a touch-enabled screen 3 installed on the platform 1 for receiving input commands, a L-shaped rod 4 installed on platform 1 and attached with a bar 5 configured with two rings 6 connected with each other via many primary and secondary spools 7 wrapped with metallic wires, a camera 8 mounted on platform 1 for detecting different spools 7, a slider 9 configured with each of the rings 6 for positioning spools 7 in front of each other, a pair of grippers 10 installed on plate 2 for positioning gripped wire-ends into a plier, an electric motor paired with a bar 5 to rotate the bar 5 for twisting the metallic wires, a pair of rollers 12 installed on the plate 2 to rotate the plier 11 for twisting the wire."
