MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010053 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'automated metallic sheet bending device.'
Inventor(s) include Laxmi Goswami.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated metallic sheet bending device, comprises a body 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, a touch interactive display panel 2 installed with the body 1 for providing input regarding dimensions and angle of a metallic sheet into which the sheet is to be bent, an imaging unit 3 installed on the body 1 to determine positioning of the sheet in proximity to the body 1, at least four motorized wheels 4 arranged underneath the body 1 for moving the body 1 towards the sheet, a C-shaped extendable frame 5 arranged on the body 1 via a pair of telescopically operated rods to extend/retract for position the frame 5 in proximity to the sheet, and a motorized pivot joint 9 integrated in between the body 1 and rods to provide tilting movement to the frame 5 to bend the sheet as per the user's specification."
