MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024707 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 27, 2024, for 'automated metallic flat bar twisting device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an automated metallic flat bar twisting device, comprises of a platform 1 positioned over a fixed surface by plurality of suction cups 2, touch interactive display panel 3 installed over the platform 1 to enable a user to provide input, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 installed over the platform 1 for capturing and processing images, a motorized sliding unit 5 installed over the platform 1 to provide translation to a first and second motorized chucks, an ultrasonic sensor installed over the platform 1 to monitor thickness of the bar, motorized extendable gripper 6 is configured with the sliding unit to extend and retract, a laser sensor installed over the first chuck and to determine a specific location over the bar, a motorized ball bearings installed with the first chuck to provide rotation to the first chuck."
