MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511105627 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Oct. 31, 2025, for 'automated metal workpiece polishing device.'
Inventor(s) include Kunal Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated metal workpiece polishing device, comprising a housing 101 configured to receive a flat metal workpiece, a touch interactive display panel 102 installed on the housing 101 to provide input specifications regarding surface polishing of the metal workpiece, an imaging unit 103 installed within the housing 101 to detect presence of the metal workpiece within the housing 101, a robotic arm 104 installed within the housing 101 to grip the workpiece and position the workpiece over a motorized conveyor 105 installed within the housing 101 to translate the workpiece at optimal speed towards a plurality of L-shaped linear actuator 106 installed over ceiling portion of the housing 101 to extend a motorized rotary abrasive unit 107 attached with each of the actuators 106 to rotate over the workpiece to polish surface of the workpiece effectively."
