MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411003710 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 18, 2024, for 'automated metal sheet manufacturing device.'

Inventor(s) include Gagandeep Singh Mavi.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated metal sheet manufacturing device, comprises of a housing 1 installed on a ground surface and arranged with a chamber 2 to be manually placed with metal scrap, a touch enabled screen 3 for enabling a user to give input commands, a telescopically operated gripper 4 for transferring metal scrap from chamber 2 to a container 5, a platform 7 assembled with a telescopically operated rod 8 that extends/retracts for inclining platform 7 at a suitable angle, a pair of motorized sliders 12 for translating links 11 along length of platform 7 for evenly pouring molten metal on entire surface of platform 7, a motorized cutter 14 attached with a telescopically operated bar 15 that extends for positioning cutter 14 in contact with sheet, a motorized two-axis lead screw arrangement 16 for providing suitable bi-directional motion to bar 15 in view of cutting sheet in user-defined shape and dimensions."
