MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511105619 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Oct. 31, 2025, for 'automated metal sheet bending device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Amit Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated metal sheet bending device, comprising of a platform 101 configured with a plurality of legs 102 installed with motorized wheel 103 for providing mobility, a touch interactive display panel 104 to provide input specifications, a microcontroller for processing the commands, an imaging unit 105 to determine position of the user-specified sheet from a multi-sectioned chamber, a robotic arm 106 for grabbing the specified metal sheet from the chamber, a conveyer belt 107 to translate the metal sheet towards a second portion of the platform 101, a sensing module for detecting multiple parameters relating to thickness, dimensions and quality of the metal sheet, an inverted U-shaped frame 108 equipped with a V-shaped weighted block, having a sharp tip, and a hydraulic actuator 113 for applying an optimum pressure onto the weighted block, thereby facilitating in proper bending of the metal sheet."
