MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023114 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 24, 2024, for 'automated metal-reforming device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated metal-reforming device, comprising a platform 1 positioned on a fixed surface by means of plurality of suction cups 2, a touch interactive display panel 3 to provide input specifications regarding a user-desired reformed metal object required, an ultrasonic sensor detects position of a metal piece, a motorized clamp 4 attached to a telescopically operated rod 5 to grip piece for positioning in proximity to a slot 6, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 7 determines dimensions of piece, a pair of robotic clippers 8 for positioning on distances, plurality of Peltier units provide an optimum heat for expanding portions, plurality of telescopically operated pins 9 apply appropriate pressure on evaluated portions of expanded piece, and a chamber 10 for storing cold water that is accessed by clamp 4 to position restructured piece in cold water for quenching for strengthening structure."
