MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026617 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 30, 2024, for 'automated meshed-sheet manufacturing device.'

Inventor(s) include V. K. Tyagi; Gunjan Aggarwal; Shikha Chaudhary; and Neha Yajurvedi.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated meshed-sheet manufacturing device, comprising, a platform 1 having multiple suction cups 2 arranged underneath the platform 1 to adhere to the surface for securing the platform 1 on the surface, a touch interactive display panel 8 to provide input regarding a user-desired meshed sheet, a motorized roller 13 coiled with a metallic wire 14 to rotate for unwrapping an appropriate length of the metallic wire 14, a motorized sliding unit 10 for providing downward translation to one of the structure, an imaging unit 12 to monitor the length of the zig-zag wire 14, a cutting unit 6 to cut the zig-zag wire 14 as per the user-specified dimensions of the sheet, and a robotic gripper 7 for accommodating ends of the cut zig-zag wire 14 in a pair of slots crafted on opposite pairs of the clamps 5 to increase/decrease height of the accommodated wire 14."
