MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019740 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 17, 2024, for 'automated mattress cleaning device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Sachin Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated mattress cleaning device, comprising a platform 1 positioned on ground surface, two telescopic bars 4 provides support to a cylindrical member 5 arranged between bars 4 over which a mattress is hung whose length is detected by artificial intelligence based imaging unit 6 and accordingly bars 4 extend to lift mattress, a weight sensor detects placement of mattress, a motorized roller 7 rotates and unwind an electromagnetic sheet out of member 5, two L-shaped poles 9 attached with each of bars 4 which extend towards front and back portion of mattress, multiple linear actuators 10 extends/retracts repetitively to eliminate dust from mattress, a dust sensor installed on platform 1 for detecting presence of dust particles, a vacuum operated cleaning unit 11 for collecting dust particles inside a receptacle 12, and if moisture is detected by a moisture sensor then an air blower 8 blows air on mattress."
