MUMBAI, India, Jan. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511104299 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 29, 2025, for 'automated maneuvering device.'

Inventor(s) include Archana Sehgal; Dr. Rajesh Verma; Dr. Navneet Khurana; and Dr. Kailash Chandra Juglan.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated maneuvering device, comprising a microcontroller 101 configured to control the movement and operation of the device, a radio frequency (RF) receiver module 102 configured to receive control signals from an RF-based remote controller within a defined range, a dual tone multi-frequency (DTMF) decoder module 103 configured to receive and decode control signals transmitted through a cellular network from a mobile device, a control logic 104 implemented in the microcontroller 101 to selectively operate the device based on input commands received from either the RF receiver module or the DTMF decoder module 103, an obstacle avoidance functionality comprising at least one ultrasonic or infrared sensor configured to detect obstacles and trigger automatic path correction, a printed circuit board integrated with driver circuitry to control motor actuators, enabling autonomous and remotely controlled maneuvering operations efficiently and safely."
