MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531011916 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 12, for 'automated maize kernels removal device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Subhaprada Dash.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated maize kernels removal device, comprises of platform 101 configured with an elongated frame developed to be positioned on a fixed surface, multiple rods 102 for providing stability to the platform 101 over the ground surface, a chamber 103 having multiple slots for enabling a user to store multiple maize, a touch interactive display panel 104 for enabling a user to input details regarding quantity of kernels that user desires to extract, a robotic gripper 105 for gripping a maize and positioning the maize over a hollow circular member 106, plurality of sharp blades 107 for removing kernels of maize, multiple teeth that are connected with a BLDC (Brush Less Direct Current) electric motor via gears for removing of kernels, a storage box 108 for storing removed kernels, a speaker 110 to notify the user regarding collection of kernels from box 108."
