MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020024 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 18, 2024, for 'automated luggage loading/unloading device.'
Inventor(s) include Naveen; Shoyab Hussain; Anshu Chaudhary; and Gargi Chaudhary.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated luggage loading/unloading device, comprising a body 1 positioned on ground surface and is installed with an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 for capturing multiple surrounding images, a touch interactive display panel 3 mapped on body 1 for displaying captured images accessed by user for selecting number of luggage present in vicinity to body 1, multiple motorized wheels 4 arranged underneath body 1 to move body 1, a pulley 5 wrapped with cable 6 to rotate for unwrapping cable 6 to position clamping unit 7 in proximity to luggage, a motorized primary hinge joint 8 integrated in between body 1 and pulley 5 to tilt pulley 5 towards inner portion of body 1, a pair of flaps 10 arranged on lateral sides of platform 9 by means of motorized secondary hinge joints 11 to tilt flap for unloading luggage out of body 1."
