MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006196 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 30, 2024, for 'automated longitudinal object cutting device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Rajdeep Singh; Dr. Sanjeev Kumar; Dr. Amresh Kumar; Rohit Singh; and Piyush Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated longitudinal object cutting device comprises of a frame 1 installed with a display panel 2 for providing input regarding object's dimension, multiple motorized rollers 3 arranged near to frame 1 for positioning object, an imaging unit 4 to determine object on rollers 3, a pair of motorized clippers 5 for gripping and positioning object between first 6 and second 7 rods for acquiring height of object and grip over object, a pair of motorized sliding units 8 integrated between second rod 7 and frame 1 for translating second rod 7 to affix object near to first rod 6, an ultrasonic sensor mapped on first rod 6 for monitoring distance between object and first rod 6, a holographic projector 9 for projecting a virtual marking over object, and multiple blades 10 integrated on first rod 6 via a motorized slider 11 to translate blades 10 to cut object."
