MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020096 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 18, 2024, for 'automated ladder supporting and positioning device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated ladder supporting and positioning device, comprising an inverted C-shaped frame 1 positioned over a ground surface by means of a pair of suction units 2, a U-shaped plate 3 configured over apex portion of frame 1 over which a user positions foot of a ladder, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 determines dimension of ladder and accordingly actuates a motorized sliding unit 5 to provide translation to two motorized extendable clamps 6 for positioning clamps 6 in proximity to foot of ladder, a laser sensor determines dimension of foot, a pair of motorized drawer arrangement extend for gripping foot of ladder, a microphone 7 receives command for requirement of translation and tilting of ladder, two motorized mount gate hinge joint 8 orient plate 3, and two inverted L-shaped telescopic rods 9 position a motorized omni-directional wheel 10 over surface for moving ladder."
