MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020659 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'automated ladder securing device.'

Inventor(s) include R. K. Jain; Naveen; Neha Yajurvedi; and Abhishek Dabas.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated ladder securing device, comprising a telescopically operated frame 1 positioned by a user in proximity to an uppermost step of a straight ladder, a touch sensor mapped on frame 1 for detecting placement of frame 1, a primary C-shaped clamping unit 3 arranged on frame 1 for gripping uppermost step, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 mapped on frame 1 for capturing and processing images of surroundings of frame 1 thereby determines edge of a roof, a secondary C-shaped clamping unit 5 installed on frame 1 for clamping edge to secure ladder with edge, a wearable body 6 developed to be worn by user over a torso region and connected with frame 1 via cable 7 and a motorized roller 8 arranged on frame 1 for rotating on axis to wind or unwind cable 7 that provides stability to user."
