MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019668 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 16, 2024, for 'automated kite flying assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated kite flying assistive device, encompasses a user-accessible frame 1 with a motorized roller 2 for kite flying, a handle 3 is integrated on frame 1 for user grip, a LiDAR sensor 4 on frame 1 measures thread thickness on the roller 2 with expandable rings on the frame 1 manage thread coiling, an imaging unit 5 monitors kite movement as an angle sensor syncs with the imaging unit 5 to determine the optimal thread angle for kite stability, also motorized ball and socket joints installed in between the frame 1 and handle 3, tilt the frame 1 relative to the handle 3 to adjust thread direction, also a tension sensor on the roller 2 tracks thread tension, as if the kite detaches, the microcontroller instructs the roller 2 to rapidly coil any remaining thread."
