MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411003446 A) filed by Bml Munjal University, Gurgaon, Haryana, on Jan. 17, 2024, for 'automated kitchen inventory management system.'

Inventor(s) include Arushi; Ashmeet Kaur; Karthik VC; Kanika Khurana; Sanjoli Khosla; Srinjay De; and Dr. Deepika Dixit.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated kitchen inventory management system, comprises of plurality of racks 2 assembled at inventory section 3 inside an enclosure 1 to store multiple food-ingredients in segregated manner, a display panel 7 assembled at cooking section 8 of the enclosure 1 accessed by concerned person to provide input regarding amount of food-ingredients to be required, multiple primary wheels 10 arranged beneath a first body 9 to position body 9 near racks 2 and then, a primary iris lid 5 open to dispense food-ingredients in first body 9 followed by gripping of packaged food from racks 2 and placing into the first body 9 via a first gripper 12, a first weight sensor for detecting weight of food-ingredients in first body 9 then, secondary wheels 14 position second body 16 near racks 2 followed by dispensing of food-ingredients from second body 16 into racks 2 via a second gripper 15."
