MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025423 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'automated kitchen chimney cleaning device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated kitchen chimney cleaning device, comprising a platform 1 positioned on a ground surface, a touch enabled screen 4 is installed on platform 1 for user input, an imaging unit 3 is configured on platform 1 to detect exact location and height of chimney from ground surface, a wheels 2 configured underneath platform 1 for positioning platform 1 vertically underneath chimney, a hydraulic bar 6 arranged in between platform 1 and plate 5 for positioning plate 5 near to chimney, plurality of flaps 7 arranged over platform 1 each via a motorized hinge joint to create a protective shield around chimney, plurality of suction units configured on vertices of flap for affixing flaps 7 with chimney, plurality of electronic nozzles 9 installed on plate 5 for dispensing cleaning solution on chimney, plurality of electronic valves 8 installed at ide walls of flaps 7 for dispensing water on chimney."
