MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025622 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 28, 2024, for 'automated juice extraction device.'
Inventor(s) include Avinav Pathak; Shoyab Hussain; Dhruv Joshi; and Abhishek Dabas.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated juice extraction device, comprising a cylindrical-shaped hollow body 1 adhered on wall by means of plurality of suction units 2 and crafted with an opening over apex portion to insert a fruit for squeezing, a touch-interactive display panel 3 installed over the body 1 for taking input commands, an imaging unit 4 installed over the body 1 for determining insertion of fruit within body 1, a motorized hinge joint 5 installed with inner-periphery of body 1 to deploy a flap 6 configured with the hinge 5 to receive the inserted fruit, a pair of hydraulic pushers 7 installed over the inner periphery to extend and grip the fruit in between the pushers 7, a motorized cutter 8 installed over the inner periphery by means of a hydraulic link 9 to cut the fruit into two pieces and re-actuates the pushers 7 to squeeze and extract juice from fruit."
