MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411005473 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 27, 2024, for 'automated intravenous fluid bag hanging device.'
Inventor(s) include Neha Dhiman; and Rini Saxena.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated intravenous fluid bag hanging device, comprises of a T-shaped body 1 configured with a vertical and horizontal pole 2 having a chamber 3 attached with the body 1 to allow a user to store various intravenous (IV) fluid bags that are to be hanged over the body 1, a touch enabled screen 4 mounted over the body 1 to enter details regarding timing of attaching a particular IV bag with an IV kit positioned by the user over the body 1, a robotic arm 12 attached at the top portion to insert an IV needle of the kit within the bag to allow flow of the fluid within the kit, and artificial intelligence-based camera 13 mounted over the body 1 to detect finishing of the fluid within the bag."
