According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses an Automated Integrated Endometrial Sampling Device with Endo-Seal Balloon (100) designed to consolidate diagnostic hysteroscopy, cytology, and histology into a single handheld unit. The device comprises a multi-lumen shaft (101) with graduated markings, a digital micro-camera (102) with integrated LED illumination for real-time visualization, an irrigation channel (103) for cavity distention, a detachable cytobrush (104) for cytological sampling, and a biopsy fenestration window (105) connected to a miniature vacuum pump for histological biopsy. A novel feature of the invention is the Endo-Seal Balloon (107), positioned proximally on the shaft, which inflates to occlude the cervical canal and prevent fluid backflow, thereby stabilizing the uterine cavity. The handle unit (106) integrates automated controls for brush rotation, suction biopsy, irrigation, and balloon inflation, powered by a rechargeable battery with wireless transmission capability for camera output. The invention enables simultaneous visual inspection, cytology, histology, and fluid management in a single insertion, reducing patient discomfort, improving diagnostic accuracy, and providing a cost-effective, efficient, and clinically reliable solution for comprehensive endometrial evaluation."
