MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621023787 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Feb. 27, for 'automated inspection and repairing device for pvc (polyvinyl chloride) pipes.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated inspection and repairing device for PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) pipes, comprising of a body 101 supported by a plurality of extendable rods 102, each rod 102 equipped with motorized omnidirectional wheels 103 for navigation and real-time height adjustment over a surface, a touchscreen unit 104 to receive user input regarding PVC specifications including size, tensile strength, an inspection unit 106 mounted on top portion of the body 101 via rotating means 107 and an extendable arm 108, to capture multi-angle inspection data of PVC pipes for defects, dimensional deviations, a minor repairing unit to automatically halt PVC production and perform minor repairs or adjustments, a calibration module to continuously adjust sensor calibration parameters in response to real-time environmental data and a cognitive maintenance module to provide step-by-step repair guidance, visual diagrams, and safety alerts to field technicians via an integrated speaker 105."
