MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531019196 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 4, for 'automated ice/snow removal device for vehicles.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Bhabani Sankar Mohanto.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated ice/snow removal device for vehicles, comprises of a body 201 developed to be stored in a garage, a display is mounted on structure 101 to provide input regarding removal of ice/snow, a cover arranged on structure 101 of a pair of poles 103 to extend/retract for deploying cover, an imaging unit is installed on body 201 for capturing images, wheels 203 is arranged underneath body 201 to maneuver the body 201, a flap 204 installed on the body 201 to extend/retract the flap 204, a tactile sensor embedded in the flap 204 for detecting hardness of ice/snow, a heating unit 206 integrated in the body 201 by means of an extendable link 207 to extend/retract for positioning heating unit 206, a vacuum unit 208 is installed in body 201 and configured with a chamber 209, which extracts scraped ice/snow into the chamber 209."
