MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004004 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 19, 2024, for 'automated hotel management assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated hotel management assistive device, comprises of a body 1 developed to be installed at reception of a hotel, a display panel 2 accessed by a user for providing input, an imaging unit 3 for capturing multiple images of user to determine facial features of user where panel 2 also displays a QR (quick response) code scanned by user's computing unit for initiating payment for room, a conveyor belt 4 assembled with multiple clamping units 5 allocated with a particular number corresponding to different room numbers of hotel and when the belt 4 translates in forward direction for positioning clamping unit 5 of user's room towards front portion of body 1, a tray 6 for receiving dispensed keys and a pair of motorized sliding units 7 for translating tray 6 outside of body 1 by means of a slit 8 for allowing user to collect keys of reserved room."
