MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511113818 A) filed by Rayat Bahra University; Bahra University; and Rayat Bahra Professional University, Mohali, Punjab, on Nov. 19, 2025, for 'automated hand washing device.'

Inventor(s) include Himanshi Soni; Abhineet Chauhan; Gurpreet Kaur; and Parina.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated hand washing device, comprises of a housing 101 configured with a microphone 103 to provide input voice commands regarding washing the user's hand, a slider 105 installed within the housing 101 and attached with a platform 106 holding a soap bar to provide sliding movement to the soap outward the housing 101, an imaging unit 107 installed on the housing 101 works in synced with a proximity sensor to detect positioning of the user's hand, a slider crank arrangement 108 configured in between platform 106 and slider 105 to provide to and fro motion to the platform 106, an nozzle 109 attached to a chamber 110 installed within the housing 101 to dispense water over soap bar in view of washing the soap bar for later use, and a air blower 111 installed over housing 101 to direct air over the soap in view of drying the soap."
