MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020774 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'automated ground surface cleaning device.'
Inventor(s) include Shreshta Bandhu Rastogi.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated ground surface cleaning device, comprising a framework 1 positioned on the vertical support for cleaning the dirt present on the surface with an integrated switch 2 for switching on/off the device, an imaging unit 3 captures and detects presence of dirt on the ground, a L-shaped rod 4 integrated on the framework extend and retract connected bar near to debris by means of motorized ball and socket joint 6 provide movement to rod 4, a laser sensor detects presence of depression of collected dirt based on which plurality of brushes 7 arranged on the bar 5 by means of motorized hinge joints 8 provide a flexible movement to brush 7 in order to clean deposited debris with the help of cleaning liquid stored in the chamber 9 dispensed by electronically controlled nozzles 10, the container 11 integrated on the framework 1 collects muddy liquid."
