MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023464 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'automated groove engraving device for concrete surfaces.'
Inventor(s) include Nikita Jain.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 24, under issue no. 43/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated groove engraving device for concrete surfaces, comprising an inverted U-shaped frame 1 positioned on a ground surface, an imaging unit 2 to determine width of the lane, a pair of linear actuators 3 to extend/retract for accommodating ends of frame 1 at boundaries of lane, a display panel 4 for selecting pattern of grooves to be engraved on lane, a hydraulic unit 5 to extend/retract in a downward direction for positioning end over edge portion of lane, a motorized sliding unit 6 to translate multiple pins 7 in a user-selected pattern, a plate 9 by means of a telescopically operated bar 10 for positioning plate 9 over surface of lane and plurality of extendable blocks 11 for pressing plate 9 against surface to engrave pattern as per user-selected pattern corresponds to a 3-dimensional structure."
